Decimal Places

  1. When you are asked to round to x amount of decimal place, there must be x number of digits after the decimal place. The digit right after the x number of digit will be rounded up if its more than or equal to 5 and down if its less than 5.

  3. Take note that when you take 2 decimal places originally to round up it will become one decimal place.
Therefore, count the number of decimal places you need and take another decimal place to refer to to round it up or down.

This is just another way of saying that you have to look at the number to the right of the required decimal place, as stated in the picture.
