  1. Pythagoras realized that the method that the Egyptians used could be converted into a formula, but he missed out a flaw, and that was, the square root of 2 being c.

  2. Pythagoras was a great man who achieved a lot but he could not explain or solve the problem of sqrt2. Instead of trying, he murdered someone and fled. It shows that the great power that he wielded corrupted his mind.

  4. Pythagoras was involved with the advancement in math and religion, and came up with the famous Pythagorus theorem while visiting Egypt. He set up a school later on and the school was prestigious and very involved in politics. However, the farmer came up with square root 2, which destroyed pythagorus and his school.

The Pythagoras theorem is proved in video two, where all the water from the smaller squares (a^2 + b^2) fill up the bigger square (c^2) perfectly.

  5. The water video shows evidence about the pythagoras theorem using water, which could help people understand more about the formula.

The animation shows about pythagoras going around the world to examine and identify different triangles and also he created a formula which is the pythagoras theorem

  6. Pythagoras was a guy who was strong and resilient because he managed to live to the age of 100 when most of his life he spend travelling about the world.

  7. I think Pythagoras is an intelligent man to be able to see the pattern between the lengths and hypotenuse of right angled triangles. I find the proving of the Pythagoras theorem with the use of water interesting and makes me think of other ways there is to prove the theorem.

  8. Pythagoras came from a wealthy family and traveled to many places. Egyptians took a piece of rope and divided it into 3 pieces. (3, 4 and 5). The square of the two shorter length were added, it equals to the hypotenuse squared. (Proven in 2nd video)

  10. Pythagoras was the man who discovered the Pythagoras Theorem after realizing that the way in which the Egyptians used for their pyramids can be converted into a formula. He had followers for some time until a flaw was found with his theorem

  11. Pythagoras was from Ancient Greece. His father was a wealthy merchant. Therefore Pythagoras was allowed to travel the lands. While he was in Egypt, Pythagoras came up with the Pythagorean Theorem.

  12. Pythagoras created a theory relating the lengths of the sides of a right-angled triangle, upon his visit to Egypt. This is proved in the 2nd and 3rd videos that state that a^2 + b^2 = c^2. The 2nd video shows a physical example of this by showing that the water in the first 2 squares can fill up the last square completely.

  13. Pythagoras was a great mathematician who travelled across the world, achieving many achievements and even creating his own religion. However a farmer who came out with the square root of 2.Pythagoras could not solve the problem and hence killed the farmer and fled barely to live of sea cucumber until he died from starvations.

The second video shows that by have the 3 square surrounding the right angled triangle filled with water. When the water in the 2 smaller triangles are poured into the bigger one there is no extra amount and fits perfectly. These shows how pythagoras theorem works in triangles

  14. The Pythagoras Theorem is proved in the second video where the water from a^2 and b^2 fill up the container c^2 perfectly to the brim.
Pythagoras was a wise man who achieved various discoveries in Mathematics that are proved to be useful today.

  15. Pythagorus was a famous man who had great achievements and even had his own school & religion. But his theory had flaws which was proven by a farmer. To make sure no one noticed, he killed the farmer, thus forcing him to flee.
His theory helps us even today in mathematical calculations.

Pythagoras was an awesome Greek mathematician, and made the thereom a^2 +b^2 = c^2(proved in the second video) by learning from the Egyptians.

  20. Pythagoras was a Greek mathematician and a philosopher who travelled to many countries. He made the connection between the shorter lengths of a right-angled triangle and its hypotenuse when he observed how the Egyptians built their pyramids. That was how he made the Pythagoras Theorem: a^2+b^2 = c^2. He even managed to create his own religion based on numbers. However, when a farmer proved that there was a flaw in his theorem (sqrt 2). Pythagoras thus killed him and was forced to flee.

  21. Pythagoras was a great Greek mathematician and philosopher who travelled across many countries. He made the Pythagoras' Theorem: a^2 + b^2 = c^2. [This theorem is proven in the second video, where 3 squares were placed as that their sides formed a right angle triangle. When the water in the smaller squares, which sides formed the opposite and adjacent, was poured into the bigger square, there was no extra amount and the bigger square was filled to the brim.] This theorem was made by learning from the building works of the Egyptians. He managed to make his own religion, which gained him much followers, known as Pythagoreans. However, a farmer found a flaw in Pythagoras' Theorem, that the theorem would not work if the square root of 2 was involved. Pythagoras had the farmer killed and fled.

  22. Pythagoras went through great lengths in order to achieve what he has and is very determined. He is the creator of the famous theorem names after him, the Pythagoras Theorem, which is a great achievement in the world of mathematics. His flaw was his refusal to accept a challenge or a concept against his theorem, where he ordered the farmer who questioned him to be killed
